A Guild of the Irish Countrywoman’s Association was formed in Skehana in February 1972. The following officers were elected at the time;

President: Mrs. Bridie Lyons

Vice-President: Mrs. Phil Fahy

Secretary: Mrs. Eileen Melody

Treasurer: Miss. Peggy Tannian

Grianan Representative: Mrs. Kathleen Carty
