On Saturday July 29th. 1939 the following advertisement appeared in the Connacht Tribune of that week.

Notice To Building Contractors.

Tenders are invited for the erection of a Hall for the C.Y.M.S. at Skehana, Menlough, Ballinasloe,

Applications for plans and specifications accompanied by a deposit of three guineas, to be made to the undersigned. Deposit will be returned on the receipt of a bona fide tender not subsequently withdrawn. Sealed Tenders marked “Tender, C.Y.M.S. Hall” addressed to the undersigned will be received up to but not later than 12.00 noon on the 12th. of August 1939. The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
