Menlough Co-Operative Society AGM – August 1921.

The annual general meeting of the Menlough Co-operative Agricultural and Dairy Society, Ltd., was held on Sunday week withthe Rev. Fr . Nicholson, P.P. presiding. Mr. Moore , of the I.A.Q.S., was also in attendance and after submitting the statement of accounts and balance sheet for the year 1920, which showed a net profit of £223, 4s, 7d. arising out of sales of £9,211, 13s. 9d., the meeting unanimously agreed to give five per cent discount to all members on their purchases of shop goods for the year 1920. Property and assets (not including store, engine and thresher, which has been bought out and written off), totalled £3,296, 7s, 10d. and exceeded share capital and liabilities by £564 17s., made up of reserve fund £238 16s. 0d. and the balance profit forward to next account, £326 Is, 0d. Mr. Moore , in his address, congratulated the society on the progress it had made, after which the meeting came to a close.
