In 2018 Michael Fortune spent a few days in this area chatting to people about the plants, shrubs and trees that were to be found on their property. Michael was interested in the background as to why they were there and some interesting facts about them.

This was a joint initiative between the Skehana & District Heritage Group and Michael Fortune and was commissioned for the Tulca Festival of Visual Artists: TACTICAL MAGIC.

In this extract from the film Michael is with husband and wife team, Pat and Noreen Connolly from Guilka and they are telling Michael about how they got to acquire a rose bush from their neighbour, the late Julia Collins.
