Fr. Rodrick Geraghty      1861 – 1864

Fr Rodrick Geraghty was a member of the Geraghty family of Castlebellew House, Ballymageraghty, Moylough,

He was transferred from Becan to Aughamore in August 1849. He was CC in Headford in August 1859. In October 1864 he was moved from Skehana to become CC in Dunmore. In 1867 he was in the Deanery of Dunmore (Parishes in the Deanery of Dunmore are Glenamaddy, Dunmore, Kilconly/Kilbannon, Milltown, Clonberne/Kilkerrin, Williamstown and Ballinlough). He passed away during his ministry in Milltown sometime before 1919.

He had three brothers that we know of; Daniel Geraghty who lived in Ballymageraghty and passed away there, Fr Peter Geraghty who was PP in Beacon and Fr James Geraghty who was PP in Castlegar, Galway. His cousin another Fr Peter Geraghty also spent time as CC Skehana – 1869 to 1871.
