Bobby Burke Interview

Bobby Burke Interview.

Declan Linnane, Headteacher at Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School, St. Alban’s, England, has recently conducted an interview with Bobby Burke for his Words of Wisdom initiative. In the most informative and enjoyable conversation, Bobby, originally from Mullaghmore South, Moylough, shares his life experiences with Declan as he speaks openly and frankly about his early life growing up in Mullaghmore, attending Ballinruane National School and the Vocational School in Mountbellew prior to crossing the Irish Sea to make his new life in the London area. From there he discusses his work life in the construction and pub businesses, his incredible sporting success on the racetrack but clearly the most important thing in Bobby’s life is his family.

Declan is the son of Kieran Linnane, a first cousin to the Galway hurling great, Sylvie, and Judy Fleming formerly from Brierfield and she herself also being a past pupil of Ballinruane National School and a sister to the late Pat Fleming. We thank Declan for sharing the recording with us and you can listen to the full hour long interview on this link.
